Burden and quality of life in caregivers of children with schizophrenia | | | This systematic review aims to quantify the burden that caregivers experience when caring for a child that is affected by schizophrenia. A diagnosis of schizophrenia poses long-term challenges, not only to the patient but also to the caregivers. Burden and quality of life are defined in terms of mental health, social life and economic stability. An international group of Euronet members appraises the available literature and will give an overview of the research conducted to date. | |
